Share the cat, spread the meow — here is what belongs to the brand and what the community is free to run with.
Unicat takes an open approach to its intellectual property. As stated in the whitepaper, the community may freely use and remix the Unicat name, logo, and art — make memes, make merch, make it yours. You do not need our written permission to use, copy, modify, adapt, or share the Unicat name, logo, artwork, or the content of this Website.
This permission applies to personal, community, and commercial uses alike — fan art, memes, merchandise, and more. The shared Unicat name, logo, and art belong to the community as a whole, and no one may claim exclusive ownership of them. Any claim related to Unicat's Website shall be governed by the laws of Germany without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Unicat encourages its community members to share our content and help spread the brand. You are welcome to use the Unicat logo wherever you like — on social media, personal websites, merchandise, or anything else you dream up — and you are free to remix and adapt it as you see fit.
Community members are free to share and remix Unicat content. For the official versions of the Unicat logo and artwork, you can download them from the Branding page on our website.
A few restrictions exist to protect the community: do not present yourself, your website, or your account as the official Unicat website or an official Unicat account; do not use the Unicat name, logo, or art to scam, defraud, deceive, or impersonate others; and do not claim exclusive ownership of the shared name, logo, or art. The official Unicat website is www.unicat.meme. If you spot someone misusing the brand to deceive others, please let us know at meow@unicat.meme.
